Yes. It will take your body 2-4 days to filter out the hormones (that are released by the birth control). Your period will be shorter but it could also be heavier. Be ready. When you start a new birth control is it normal for it to not come?
for me and my sister every month when we r supposed to take the period week pills our periods don't start till about halfway through the week

it does this every month. if you go that entire week without having your period if you think u r pregnant take a pregnancy test and if it's negative call your doctor and ask if its normal for you.
You have to wait for the hormones to taper off for your period to be ';triggered'; to start. Most girls I know (myself included) who use ortho tri cyclen start their period about halfway through that week.
It will take a few days of being off those hormones to get your period. Mine used to take 5 days of being off the active pills to get it. Just be patient. But it isn't uncommon to miss your first period on birth control. You haven't missed it yet.
