What are benifits of Texas trying to control/manage it's exotic species?

Exotic species are good if you are a hunter but for biologists that care about conservation they can be bad. Why would Texas want to push for more control or regulations on exotic/non-native species??? ThanksWhat are benifits of Texas trying to control/manage it's exotic species?
Exotic and invasive species push out native species and upset the ecosystem. There are plenty of native wildlife that can be legally hunted with the proper licenses and/or permits during the right season. No need to bring in destructive pests so that hunters can hunt them.
