Is gastric reflux going to be a bigger problem for me later and do you know any methods for easy control of it?

I suffer serious gastric reflux and so many things aggravate it. Coffee, pies, pizza, oily foods and of course alcohol. What are the long term effects if any? Should I have an operation to fix it? Also do you know any natural methods to control the reflux that allows me to have a reasonable social life as well?Is gastric reflux going to be a bigger problem for me later and do you know any methods for easy control of it?
First, how much time do you mean when you say later? People do this all the time, they ask and then leave out important info like this. Next is finding a good GI doctor and then following their advice. It won't help you at all to get a good doctor and then just not listen to them either. These doctors are experts in this and other digestive disease problems too. Please take them seriously so you can gain from the testing they do and then the diagnosing they make. They will go over everything with you and then help you do what's best for you and your body. The foods you mention you will most likely say good-bye to as they cause acid problems to begin with and surgery is not always the best answer for anyone. Anyone can have as satisfactory a social life as they want by just having a good time with good friends. A special person of the preferred sex always helps too to enjoy anytime with, even relaxing at home with the TV going, or listening and dancing to favorite tunes. Then try to save up for those special vacations if even found in the nearest large city. No matter what your health is like, when you have a good doctor and are following their advice anyone can enjoy the holidays they want to, when they want. Good luck and God BlessIs gastric reflux going to be a bigger problem for me later and do you know any methods for easy control of it?
How to best relieve symptoms of acid reflux involves making lifestyle changes such as avoiding certain foods, losing weight, stopping smoking and exercising regularly. A wide variety of over-the-counter medications such as antacids, anti-gas or ant-flatulence drugs, oral suspension and H-2 receptor blockers are available to provide temporary relief.

Avoid the overuse of over-the-counter medications as they may cause side effects such as constipation and diarrhea. For more frequent and severe episodes of acid reflux, your doctor may prescribe medications such as proton pump inhibitors. If lifestyle changes and prescription medications fail to offer improvement, surgery may be recommended.
