How long after beginning Yaz birth control is it okay to have unprotected sex?

My case is a bit different because my doctor started me on Yaz the day after my visit, which was about 13 days before I was supposed to get my period. So I'm a bit confused about how long I should have waited before having unprotected sex. For those doing Sunday start or First day of period it says to wait a week, but since my case was different I'm wondering if I should have waited longer than one weekHow long after beginning Yaz birth control is it okay to have unprotected sex?
It's still just a week. If you start the pill on the first day of your cycle, you are protected immediately. If you start at any other point, like you did, you are protected after seven days of continuous pill-taking.

i am on yaz and having unprostected sex i waited a month so it is in your body and thats what my doctor told me she said it is the safest and your supposed to start it the day after your period is gone for it to work so stop taking it and start again on a new pack once your period is over
You probably should use other protection until you finish the first pack and have a period. You can't be too careful.
I agree you should wait until your pills are finished for this month and you start a new pack before having unprotected sex.
