How long must you be on Birth Control before it starts working?

The pst two pills brands that i have been on say that they take 7 full days before they start working effectively. It always depends on the pills that you are taking. Some brands take around 2 weeks and others say to wait for the first month. If you look at the packet that comes with the pills that you have it should say how long to wait.

If you cant find the packet or you threw it away then call your doctor and ask. Or just look up the pill brand online, there are quite a few sites that list out all the directions for that specific brand. How long must you be on Birth Control before it starts working?
You have to take it @ the same time everyday for 7 days for it to work and you have to take it from then on @ the same time everyday, you miss a day it wont work if you double up the next time, you have to start over again @ the same time every day for 7 days then you will be good. How long must you be on Birth Control before it starts working?
It usually takes about a month, but it all depends on the pill and your body. Sometimes it can take up to 3 months before the pill is effective.

Continue to use a condom, even after the pill is effective. I am 32 weeks pregnant while on the pill and using foam.
Yea the doctors will tell you to have protected sex for the first 30 days of starting a new form of birth control.
I have heard a month as well. You should definitely use alternative protection in the meantime.
About three full days. Talk to your doctor. It also depends on which one your taking. I know three for the pill.
