My girlfriend is going to a doctor to get birth control. What is the test called it starts with a M?What is the test called when a woman needs to get birth control. It starts with a M?
A woman going to the doctor for birth control will typically be required to undergo a full pelvic exam, which would include a pap smear and pelvic palpitation. She may also be required to undergo a manual breast exam performed by the doctor. These tests are performed annually to ensure the good health of the patient.
The test you might be thinking of is a mammogram (or x-ray of the breast matter). This is NOT required for BCPs and in fact is contraindicated for women under the age of 40 because the breast matter is too dense to reliably find breast tumors....which is the reason for mammograms. What is the test called when a woman needs to get birth control. there is no such test needed to get birth contro pills. she probably will get a pregnancy test first before her gyn can give her pills. thats all
the only test thats given in the gyn that starts with an M is a mammogram, which is a breast exam
I've never head of needing a test just to get birth control. There is an annual Pap Smear. Is that what you mean??
There isnt one. Ive been on them forever and never once did I have to take a test.
