Is it true that if you drink while on birth control, it won't work?

just wondering, i heard that if you drink alcohal while on birth conrtol that it won't work effectively.Is it true that if you drink while on birth control, it won't work?

This question was asked a few days ago...I've never heard of it not working, do you mind letting us know where you got that information? I'm thinking it might be with certain types since it seems that a few woman believe it.
It's working with me ok...and I only drink socially though like one or two on the weekends if that....maybe it depends on the brand of pill.
I have never heard that. I drink socially, mainly on weekends, and have not had any problems.
Drinking while on birth control does not make it not work, but I believe it makes it a little less effective. I wouldn't worry about it though, it doesn't affect its effectiveness drastically. I think some people say alcohol lessens the effectiveness of birth control because most drunk people don't remember to take their pill and if you don't take your pill, it can be effective at all
there is no proven facts that alcohol effects birth control effectiveness.





however if the next morning you take your pill and then puke it up or have diarrhea than yes that can make the pill less effective.





I did research on this a few weeks ago when my friend told me drinking would mess up my pills.
