I have a cowlick right along my hairline in the front. It's off-center and increasingly exasperating. It ruins the whole look of my hairstlye. I have long blonde hair parted just a little to the right and no bangs. I like to wear it loose and straight but my cowlick ruins the symmetry and makes my face look unbalanced. It's the thing I hate most about my hair and I'm looking for sympathy (:P) and ideas on how to tame an out of control cowlick. Thanks!Cowlick driving me crazy! How to control it?
With you there. :P
I have 2 cowlicks, right at the top of my part on each side, they drive me crazy!
The best way I've fond to get rid of the (temporarily, of course) is to straighten my hair in those spots. It takes a lot of heat but is totally worth it. A lot of the time I'll use my straightener on just those parts, if I'm going for a lazy hair style (The days I get up late, or just don't care).
Another way (already mentioned) is the hair spray way. Most of the time I use it to control the fly aways around the cowlick, it doesn't seem strong enough to get rid of the entire thing. But what I do is spray the hair spay on my hand, then smooth my hair down my hair starting at the top.Cowlick driving me crazy! How to control it?
My sister has this same problem and after years of her fighting it I finally convinced her to do a side part and use the cowlick to an advantage it helps give her height on one side You can't change the way your hair grows Some of my clients have found after using hair color which coats the hair shaft they are better able to get it to lay down Good luck
you could use hairspray and pat it down.
