I am really worried about a situation that might happen at work. It's something I've always feared. I just keep sobbing and bawling thinking about what if it happens. I don't know what to do.I can't stop crying - stress/anxiety related. How can I control it?
You really should speak to a counselor about your overwhelming fear. Call your mental health center and make an appointment.
Let me share this with you: I am an old woman, and my experience in life has led me to understand that the thing I have always feared most is the ONE thing that I have had to face, accept, and overcome.
And here's the best part: that thing I feared happening turns out to be the best thing that could have happened for me at that time in my life!
Speaking with a therapist, or someone who has been in the same position as you fear, will help you face that fear. If the worse does happen you CAN turn it into an opportunity for change.
Now is the time for YOU to take charge of your fears. Make that call.

I can completely understand where your coming from I have been there myself but you have to think of something that is less distressing start thinking of blue skies or something happier because if you let this get to you. You may upset yourself so much that you will make it happen whatever it is. try and find out what options you will have or how you can deal with the situation if and when it happens because it might help you to feel stronger.

do something (an activity or something) that will take your mind off work
a hobby for example
maybe you should seek further help from a counsellor or something
hope you feel better soon
Stress can be managed on a gluten free diet. Eat meat and not the grass our meat eats! Don't eat wheat!
stop thinking too much and divert your attention to something else. make your day productive.
