They're destroying ancient Sumer archaeological finds left and right. That's one of the reasons we're there. Dominance is the other. I hate what we're doing to other countries. We'll pay for it later, one way or another.Do you believe the US are fighting in the middle east to control it for its oils and goods?
I wish there was something we could do to stop this. Innocent people dying everyday. Ancient artifacts that tell the truth of our beginnings. Knowledge is empowering. Thanks, sweetie.

Of course a perfect comment was made earlier about Zimbabwe and a complete lack of American concern there. If there was am abundance of profitable Oil in a country where they could have an excuses to get involved with they would
America also has a political agenda in the area with one of there closest allies Israel who the majority of its neighbors want removed and the land given back to the Palestinians which would greatly reduce amercias power in the Middle East and Europe
Inscrutable are the ways of the (strategy affairs) world! It's not exactly control, it's some ideology that needs projection, very much like in individuals' case in a society! War can never be solution by itself, war could be a 'filler', while issues are being resolved elsewhere by diplomacy and other more sensible means!
It was a war for oil and maintaining influence in the region. That is the reason why. The middle east's only major export is oil. Also, oil travels through the region. We wanted to maintain influence in that region.
Somalia is basically a failed state with Islamic Fundamentalists and Pirates running it. Why didn't we go there instead of Iraq?

The Law of Karma says,
';You reap, what you sow in this birth or in subsequent births';. In case of Nations and Religions also this is the Real Truth. If you look at History, what is established with sword getting destructed the same manner. In case of Religions and Nations the Law of Karma takes its pound of flesh in Time spanning centuries.
That's why perhaps the Ancient Sages and Rishies in India advocated Sacrifices out of Love as the Secret of Vedas (Idam Na Mama) in stead of theories of accumulating and holding the Control thru various means.
The Clouds of Karma pours one time or other time with its Karma Phalas. Putting up the salts in the clouds make it pour faster. Of course then there are worries of Salt Preparation to be able to utilize. US is doing that perhaps like trying to water and prepare some good gardens there. But the cost for Research and Development to prepare more salts of Amnition is perhaps a thing all Heavenly Angels have to go thru as there is this fear of fall from Heaven with looming threats from the Mahabalies and Namuchies of the Non - Drinking Brand.. lol ..

Bhagavan Sri Sathyasai Baba says,
';Some say knowledge is valuable, but character is more valuable than knowledge. One may be a learned scholar, one may hold high positions of authority, one may be very wealthy or be an eminent scientist but if one has no character, all the other acquisitions are of no use at all. Sacrifice, love, compassion and forbearance are the sterling human qualities that should be fostered, shedding jealousy, hatred, ego and anger which are animal qualities. ';

if you want my opinion the u.s. is setting isreal up for a total massacre like hitler did and the freemasons created the symbol star of david to prove it and it's 666,they will kill, control, and manipulate the people they give that mark to, I had a picture of presscott bush standing by hitler, my heritage is german but I hate the germans for what they did to the jews, people judge me for breaking the laws of our country but what are them people gonna say when the law requires you to have the mark of the beast tattooed on your forehead or arm?
No. Well, indirectly. We have a vested interested in the stability of this area. It is important to everyone. We do not build empires. We seek stability and freedom. If we wanted Iraq we could have taken it and not be wasting all of this time trying to help set up a government.
With or without the weapons we are there. It no longer matters if we should be. But, we must finish what we started.
Well, I'm a real cynic when it comes to our government, but this time we get to lay the blame squarely on good old G W's shoulders. It wasn't pointless to him. He needed to be a big man and finish his daddy's war. OK, someone clear this up for me. Afghanistan bombs us and we turn around and attack...Iraq???
*sighs* God, give me strength.
there is no control of oil and goods, its about saving lives, mostly isreali lives and gaining domiance in the middle east and that whole part of the world wich is the next market after china to explode, there all goiing to wear nike and drink coca cola and have ipods one day
The war in Iraq is just for oil and goods, yes.
Afghanistan is a different story, though. We might actually make progress there in a few years.
Yes, I do. But I do not believe that our soldiers went there thinking that was the reason. They were used. We were played. And it was OUR government that did it.
There are plenty of brutal dictators in African countries, such as Zimbabwe. You don't see the U.S. sending troops to ';liberate'; people there...
If that were the reason, everyone would have been home long ago. It has never been about oil.
