Lenin said something along these lines, but do you think he was on to something?Is leading the opposition the best way to control it?
The issue with leading the opposition is that you must be careful never to show too much favor to your true opinions. Certainly one could make an attempt at this, but how long could you last? How long would the people support a leader who is apparently either inept or an impostor? It simply couldn't last.
