Are you in control of your own life or do you feel that other forces are controlling it?

If so, what is controlling your life and is it something that you can change?

I personally feel that we can be in control of our lives, but too often we let many things in life dictate who we are. I think much of the time we are not even aware of this. Are you in control of your own life or do you feel that other forces are controlling it?
I am in control as long as I choose well. We lose control if we choose unwisely. Unwise choices limit subsequent choices available to us.

Example, a person in prison for committing a crime does not have the freedom to do as he wishes. And when he is released from prison, he will have a difficult time getting a job. Can he control that? Only to some extent, after he has committed the crime that has gotten him into his current place. He will always be ';the guy who went to Jail';.

Every choice we make is important, even down to how we dress and how we treat the mailman. These things determine who we are and even more whatwe are.Are you in control of your own life or do you feel that other forces are controlling it?
I feel that I'm mostly in control of my own life, though outside factors are obviously a part of my decisions. Still, though there are times when our decisions are totally out of our hands, I still think most of them are our own.
We are in control of our actions, but we aren't in control of the consequences of our actions. And sometimes the consequences of our actions take away our ability to control our next action.

Wow that was deep.
Control is an illusion.
A little of both.

Stuff happens, and it's not always within our control... how we deal with it is, however.

Example...

The company you worked for goes under... not really in your control, right? So now what?... whatever's next IS within your control... look for another job, move....
In the name of the LORD.

Greetings plastik punk -Bottom Contributor,

God is the ultimate power in our lives but we have control of ourselves to receive God or reject Him, and then we reap what we sow.
Cause and effect...You might feel that you are in control of your life. but you really don't have much choice. You do what you do its because the chemicals in your brain is telling you to do so.
I am 100% in control of my life, and make all the choices and more importantly, I also deal with the consequences as well.
DEFinitely...
I control my life, there are no such things as other forces
I control how I react to whatever life throws at me.
We can't control what happens to us but we can control how we deal with it. That's what I think anyway.
I control my life through free will and the will of my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. God's will be done.
i'm in control of my life I believe the ';forces'; are there to assist me.
