I've been on some form of birth control for over 3 years and I just quit. Now me and my other half are trying to have a baby. How long will I have to wait until its all out of my system and I can get pregnant? How long after you quit birth control does it take to get out of your body?
Again, it depends on the form of b/c. The Depo Shot can take a year to get out of your system, for example. However, you can get pregnant the very next month after stopping the combined pill. Of course, it also depends on your body but 3 years isn't too long to be on the pill (some women are on it for 10 years!) and if you're eating right and taking Folic Acid (or multi-vitamins) then your body will heal and get ready quickly, I'm sure! Good luck :)How long after you quit birth control does it take to get out of your body?
All depends on the birth control. I had my implanon out on Monday and the nurse explained to me that if i'd had sex within 5 days previous to this then I could fall straight away however don't think in my case thats likely, lol. Double check with your doc if you have any concerns %26amp; remember 3 years on bc is a long time.
Good luck xx
there is no set time.. everyone body is different.. sometimes as soon as you stop you get pregnant.. good luck.. while you are trying you should change your eating habits and they say that you should stay away from caffeine because it can interfere with conception.. also you should start taking some type of prenatal vitamins.. you can get them over the counter or if you tell your doctor you are trying they will give you a prescription for some.
I went off mine in January and I am still not pregnant however my OBGYN told me not to try to get pregnant in the first 3 months so the BC can get out of my system. We tried anyway but nothing yet. I know people who have gotten pregnant right away and others it took a year. Good luck!
Could be instantaneous. Consider the fact that woman have gotten pregnant while on the pill, after missing their pill for just a few hours, or without missing it at all.
Good luck, and talk to your doctor about any concerns that you have.
took me 2 years
